Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will lead complex tax engagements, ensure compliance with regulatory standards, and deliver insightful financial analysis. Your expertise will help clients navigate tax planning, estate strategies, and regulatory reporting with confidence and clarity. Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, small businesses, and non-profit organizations Provide comprehensive estate planning advice, including wills, trusts, and estate law considerations Provide Client Accounting Services in the areas of accounting, sales tax and payroll Conduct detailed tax research on issues such as securities law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), mergers & acquisitions, and other complex transactions Respond to tax notices from various regulatory agencies Analyze financial statements using GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) to ensure accuracy and regulatory adherence Reconcile general ledger accounts, perform balance sheet reconciliations, and prepare financial reports for clients Collaborate with clients on tax planning and tax projections Experience Proven experience in public accounting with a focus on tax preparation and compliance Extensive knowledge of tax concepts including double entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial statement interpretation Familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Quicken, or similar platforms Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and prepare detailed reports Experience with non-profit accounting, payroll processing, asset management, and regulatory reporting is a plus Demonstrated expertise in technical accounting areas like debits & credits, general ledger reconciliation, and financial software applications Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently while maintaining high-quality standards in a fast-paced environment Join us at Moss & Yantis CPA PA to be part of a passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional financial services.
