Job Description

Description Summary:
The Senior Accountant will be an integral member of the accounting team, you'll assist in ensuring efficient and accurate work at an advanced level under minimal supervision. The Senior Accountant role is involved in all areas of general accounting. The Senior Accountant is primarily responsible for daily transactions, journal entries, reconciliations, financial statement analysis, sales and use tax filings, collections, budgets and forecasts and ad hoc special requests. The Senior Accountant will be directly responsible for monthly account reconciliations, month end journal entries and assisting with closing for multi sites. Responsibilities & Duties Weekly cash flow forecast for multi sites. Preparation of month end, quarter end and year end tasks, reconciliations, and journal entries in all the areas such as Payroll, AP, AR, Revenues and Accounting in general. Is responsible for accurate and timely government reporting. Assist with collections of past due accounts; Review of weekly account payable check runs. Follow established policies and procedures and participate in process improvement initiatives; Prepare audit materials and interact with external auditors. Year end tax apportionment reporting. Work on special projects as required.
Requirements Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in accounting 4-7 years of experience Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Solid knowledge of accounting principles. Extremely detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills. CPA a plus. Microsoft Dynamics software experience a plus.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit for extended periods: talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone and keyboard Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work Regular, predictable attendance is required; including quarter-driven hours as business demands dictate. Moderate Noise (i.e.: business office with computers, phone and printers, light traffic).
