Job Description

Position:
Corporate Treasury and Development Accountant Department:
Finance/Accounting Exempt OTO Development is pleased to announce a wonderful opportunity for a Corporate Treasury and Development Accountant. What will you be doing most days?
  • The Corporate Treasury and Development Accountant maintains primary responsibility for activities associated with construction cost accounting for active development projects, the administration of the construction loan draw process with lenders, and process improvement initiatives within the accounting and treasury department of the company.
  • Maintains key working relationships with lenders, contractors, and various internal parties, including development staff, purchasing, accounting, and finance among others.
  • Responsible for daily monitoring of banking activity and forecasting and communicating cash flow needs to management.
  • Manages corporate accounting needs such as: o Maintaining fixed asset schedules o Manages adherence to fixed asset policy o Evaluates operations capital spend to budget and communicates status of spend o Recording monthly depreciation and amortization o Evaluating project cost transactions for cost segregation studies o Monitoring and reconciling development-related cash accounts o Monitoring processing of development project invoices o Reconciling monthly construction-in-progress assets for numerous projects o Monitoring and reconciling construction-related vendor deposits o Accruing project-related costs for month-end financials o Reconciling monthly loan balances and recording of applicable interest expense o Recording development project cash receipts, bill inter-company development fees o Assisting with various year-end audit requests.
  • Evaluates key accounting and treasury processes for efficiency opportunities.
  • May provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group. What are the requirements for this position?

  • A BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional certification (e.
g. CPA) is a plus but not required Physical Requirements for this Position This is largely a home office role; however, you must be able to walk and stand for extended periods of time as the job dictates. Travel Requirements This position requires up to 10% travel. Travel may be outside the local area and overnight.
