Finance Manager Job Summary:

LEL International is seeking a skilled Cost Accountant with 3-5 years of experience to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing financial data, calculating manufacturing costs, and providing cost information for financial planning and control. This role requires a deep understanding of cost accounting standards, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with multiple departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and effective cost control measures. Hands-on experience with Epicor ERP is highly preferred, as this role relies heavily on leveraging system data for accurate cost tracking, reporting, and operational insights.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Perform cost analysis and planning to reduce company expenses and improve profitability. Implement, maintain, and review the cost accounting system and work procedures, with a strong emphasis on utilizing Epicor ERP for data accuracy and efficiency. Gather and compile cost information and maintain an inventory of products and services within Epicor and related systems. Analyze production costs and recommend changes to improve profitability. Manage the preparation of financial reports, such as cost reports, inventory balance reports, and profit and loss statements, leveraging Epicor reporting tools. Assess existing purchasing policies and practices to identify areas where improvements can be made. Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including Epicor system reconciliations. Ensure that cost procedures follow company guidelines and compliance with the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Coordinate with internal departments to gather and analyze data to improve operations and reduce costs, often through Epicor system collaboration. Support the company in managing its investment portfolio by analyzing and interpreting cost information.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Proficient in cost and financial software systems, with demonstrated experience using Epicor ERP strongly preferred (or required, depending on candidate pool). Advanced knowledge of Excel and database software. Strong communication skills, capable of explaining complex financial information in an understandable way. Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or a related field. Experience in the manufacturing industry preferred. Direct experience with Epicor ERP in a manufacturing environment is highly desirable and may be given priority consideration. CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

Pay:

$70,953.25 - $85,000.00 per year
