Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Payroll Professional to join our corporate team supporting federal initiatives! This position is temporary and will be based out of Knoxville, TN. This role is anticipated to be short-term (3-4 months) with the possibility of extension. There is flexibility on the hours (Part-Time or Full-Time), but the candidate MUST be able to work on Tuesdays. Responsibilities Process weekly payroll for GEM Technologies, Inc. and Atlanta Home Theater using Paylocity. Prepare and import payroll journal entries for both companies into GEM's accounting system, Sage Intacct. Prepare and submit weekly certified payroll reports via email and client's certified payroll system, LCP Tracker. Prepare and submit monthly union reports. Prepare and file monthly Gross Receipts Tax returns for New Mexico. Prepare and file monthly Sales & Use Tax returns for Tennessee and Georgia. Review W-2s for 401k and HSA limits. Requirements Education & Years of Experience- Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of relevant experience or relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
