JOB DESCRIPTION
Corporate position responsible for providing financial, administrative and clerical services. The position will provide support for the accounting function by processing invoice payments, transactions and assisting with the preparation of various reconciliations. Must be proficient in standard accounting activities and able to work independently or collaboratively to process financial transactions accurately and on time.
WAGE/HOUR STATUS
Hourly (eligible for overtime) Essential Functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs. Process Corporate accounts payable Process accounts payable payments for multiple properties including the mailing of checks to vendors Research and respond to vendor inquiries / issues Assist with maintaining general ledger records and preparing/entering journal entries Reconcile bank accounts and resolve any discrepancies Assist with preparing financial reconciliations, spreadsheets and supporting documentation § Provide administrative support, including filing, scanning, and assisting with special projects as needed Opening correspondence, answering phone calls and acting as the office's primary point of contact Other duties, as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or related field or equivalent experience 1 - 3 years' experience in office environment, with accounting and administrative duties Must possess ability to read, comprehend, and follow simple to moderately complicated verbal and/or written instructions, basic arithmetical calculation skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with residents, staff, suppliers, or vendors, as well as co-workers Must have experience working with computers and be proficient in MS Office, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel Must have a thorough knowledge of bookkeeping/accounting theory and practices, as well as excellent organizational skills and able to manage multiple projects Ability to work effectively with all levels of accounting and operations management
TYPICAL WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Office setting, working with a personal computer at a desk and telephone Typically required to lift objects no more than forty (40) pounds on occasion, with ability to bend and stoop in order to maintain files and office appearance
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
