Description We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support core accounting operations in Memphis, Tennessee. This role will oversee critical close activities and maintain accurate financial records.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the monthly closing cycle by preparing entries, reviewing balances, and helping ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Record and monitor accruals to reflect expenses and obligations properly within each reporting period.
• Manage treasury-related activities, including cash positioning, bank account oversight, and daily cash management support.
• Process and reconcile payroll-related accounting transactions to maintain accurate general ledger reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset records, track additions and disposals, and support depreciation accounting.
• Handle intercompany transactions and reconciliations to ensure balances are accurate across related entities.
• Prepare and post journal entries while verifying supporting documentation and compliance with accounting standards.
• Perform account and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
• At least 5 years of accounting experience in a senior-level or comparable role.
• Strong background in month-end close activities, including journal entries and general ledger review.
• Demonstrated experience with account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and accrual accounting.
• Working knowledge of treasury, cash management, payroll accounting, and fixed asset accounting.
• Experience managing intercompany accounting processes and resolving balance discrepancies.
