Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to support key finance operations for a Long-term Contract opportunity based in Memphis, Tennessee. This role is ideal for someone who can manage core accounting activities, maintain accurate financial records, and contribute to a smooth monthly close process. The successful candidate will play an important part in strengthening day-to-day accounting accuracy and ensuring reconciliations and reporting tasks are completed on time.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee major components of the month-end close cycle to help ensure timely and accurate financial results.
- Prepare and record journal entries while maintaining proper supporting documentation and adherence to accounting standards.
- Manage general ledger activity by reviewing account balances, investigating discrepancies, and preserving data integrity.
- Complete account reconciliations on a regular basis and resolve outstanding items in a prompt and organized manner.
- Perform bank reconciliations and verify transactions to ensure cash activity is accurately reflected in company records.
- Analyze financial information and identify inconsistencies that may affect reporting accuracy or compliance.
- Collaborate with finance team members and internal stakeholders to support routine accounting operations and reporting needs.
