Job Description:
Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Staff Accountant to join our growing team in an in-person office environment. The ideal candidate will assist with day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close activities while ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This position is ideal for someone who is organized, analytical, and thrives in a collaborative workplace setting. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts
  • Assist with preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules
  • Monitor expenses and help ensure budget compliance
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Support audits and provide requested documentation
  • Assist with payroll processing and related reporting, as needed
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounting procedures and efficiencies
  • Collaborate with internal departments regarding financial matters Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic Preferred Skills
  • Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
  • Knowledge of GAAP principles
  • Experience with payroll and expense management systems
