Burchell, Denson & Morrison, LLC is looking for a qualified person to fill our tax accountant position. We are a CPA firm located in Abilene, TX, and we provide reliable accounting services to our clients. We are looking for someone to prepare entity and individual federal income tax returns as well as state returns. We are looking for someone that is self-motivated, someone that can ensure client work is performed timely, someone that sees the big picture with regard to our client's individual business or needs, communicates clearly with the shareholder in charge as well as the clients, takes responsibility for the quality of their work and strives for accuracy, stays current on regulatory and industry issues, and builds and maintains client relationships. The qualified candidate will be able to establish priorities, prepare and manage tax returns and related tax documents effectively for multiple clients. Minimum Requirements 1. CPA or EA license-not required but a plus 2. 3-5 years experience preparing returns and researching tax issues 3. Comprehensive understanding of tax laws/rules/implications Knowledge of CCH Axcess, Prosystem, XCM, Quickbooks, Excel and Word is preferred.
