Job Description
Senior Accountant and Analyst Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and record monthly accruals and accounting entries for trusts and partnerships 2. Prepare payroll for sales bonuses and commissions 3. Monthly payroll review 4. Prepare monthly back charge analysis/write offs 5. Prepare bonus calculations 6. Preparation of monthly financial statements, management reports, reconciliations, banking schedules, and cash flow projects 7. Prepare and maintain detailed investment, real estate and property schedules 8. Preparation of inventory investment analysis 9. Preparation of bi-weekly frame and brick payment report 10. Prepare and update cash flow forecasts 11. Land development review of draw request and brick payment report 12. Preparation and review of profit projection reports 13. File audit and related budget and margin review 14. Assist with treasury management 15. Prepare and maintain tax schedules for various trust and partnerships 16. Update and maintain the business plan projection and schedules 17. Maintain individual statements for partner contributions, earnings and distributions 18. Coordinate the collateralization of units on to the Borrowing Base and reconcile the monthly report 19. Prepare schedules for annual audit 20. Reviews and approves job cost budget 21. Reviews, analyzes and coordinates yearly property tax protests with various taxing jurisdictions 22. Responsible for properly reporting 1099-M income for subcontractors 23. Coordinates various tax payments to IRS and/or State Comptroller's office 24. Other ad hoc projects as assignedEducation and Skills:
1. Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience 2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent 3. Knowledge in Inform XL Preferred 4. Ability to use Power Query Preferred 5. Proficient in Microsoft Office - strong Excel skills required 6. Good time management and project management skills 7. Analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills 8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 9. Self-motivating, hard working and proactive 10.
