Staff Accountant Grand Homes - 3.6 Addison, TX Job Details Full-time 13 hours ago Qualifications Spreadsheets Productivity software Full Job Description About the Role The Staff Accountant supports the Accounting Manager and Senior Accounting Staff in full-cycle general ledger accounting and financial close activities. This role supports monthly financial reporting, account reconciliations, financial analysis, banking activities, job budget and variance review, and payroll for commissioned sales personnel. Key Responsibilities Support the Accounting Manager and Senior Accounting Staff in full-cycle general ledger accounting and financial close activities. Prepare monthly financial packages. Prepare key performance indicator schedules. Prepare monthly account reconciliations. Prepare schedules for the annual audit. Prepare various schedules for financial analysis. Review job budgets and job variances. Update daily bank and cash reports. Assist the Senior Accountant with banking activities. Prepare bank information for appraisers. Prepare and maintain payroll for commissioned sales personnel. Assist with other accounting projects and ad hoc assignments as needed. What We're Looking For Minimum 2 years of accounting experience. Degree in Accounting or equivalent. Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required . Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting skills. Good time-management and project-management skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Self-motivated, hardworking, analytical, and proactive. Ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels. Work Environment This position is primarily based in a corporate office environment and requires frequent computer use, data entry, and document review. The Staff Accountant will regularly interact with members of the Accounting team and employees at various levels throughout the organization. The role requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
