full-time Staff Accountant Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our client's growing accounting team. This role is ideal for a professional with 1-3 years of accounting experience who is looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting while gaining exposure to month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and process improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, advanced Excel capabilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience working in a multi-entity environment is a plus but not required. Responsibilities Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities Prepare and post journal entries and supporting documentation Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances Maintain general ledger accuracy and integrity Assist with financial statement preparation and reporting Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities as needed Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts Analyze financial data and prepare management reporting schedules Partner with cross-functional teams to improve accounting processes and internal controls Assist with audit requests and compliance requirements Participate in special projects and process improvement initiatives Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1-3 years of accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including: Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIFS Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Experience with ERP systems is preferred Multi-entity accounting experience is helpful but not required
