RICHARD is a full-service engineering, procurement, and construction firm with over 2,000 dedicated team members. Position Summary Richard Design Services, Inc. is seeking an Accountant I, responsible for performing duties that include journal entries, project cost and revenue analysis, overhead analysis and balance sheet reconciliations. Helps in analyzing and preparing the data for financial statements and forecasts. Also helps with pulling data for audits. Position reports to the Chief Accounting Officer. Job Responsibilities Enters standard journal entries Assists in analyzing current costs, revenues and financial commitments Performs sub-ledger and balance sheet reconciliations Maintains financial records and ensures the accuracy of financial transactions Compiles financial data to aid in the preparation of financial reports Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting 5+ years' experience, preferably in the engineering and construction industry Excellent Excel skills Should have a good understanding of other accounting positions such as AP, AR, Payroll and Billings Needs to be able to work well with others at different levels throughout the organization, handle confidential information appropriately, meet required timelines, and be a quick learner Work Environment The work will mostly take place in an office setting, and the employee will need to communicate with others in person, over the phone, and through email.
