Job Description
Key Responsibilities General Ledger & Month-End CloseOwn full-cycle GL accounting (AP/AR, invoicing, journal entries, reconciliations) across three entities.
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; produce financial statements and management reporting.
Prepare balance sheet, bank, credit card, and intercompany reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Cost & Inventory AccountingSupport inventory and WIP accounting for manufacturing cost tracking; reconcile inventory activity to cost of sales.
Track direct product costs, yield/scrap variances, labor efficiency, and overhead absorption; prepare product P&Ls.
Partner with Production and Purchasing on recipe/BOM usage and vendor pricing changes; quantify gross margin impact.
Procurement & Vendor ManagementLead procurement for select entities: source vendors, run comparative bid analysis, and negotiate pricing to control costs.
Serve as primary point of contact for vendors, Payroll, Tax & ComplianceProcess multi-entity payroll with accuracy and confidentiality.
File EFTPS, sales tax, franchise tax, and Mixed Beverage Tax; track recurring compliance deadlines across all entities.
Coordinate and support external audits, tax filings, and payroll reviews.
Office & Systems AdministrationManage day-to-day office administration across multiple sites: supplies, equipment, facilities, and general vendor support.
Answer Phones a receive visitorsMaintain organized records of contracts, filings, provider communications, and renewal dates.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.5+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in CPG food manufacturing or a multi-entity environment.
Proven ability to own full-cycle accounting independently, with minimal oversight.
Experience with inventory/WIP accounting, standard costing, and variance analysis.
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills; comfortable serving as a liaison to external providers.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop (required).Advanced Excel skills.
Bilingual (Spanish/English).Highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple entities and competing deadlines.
