Job Description

Position Summary:
The Landscaping Accountant is responsible for managing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate accounting records, monitoring job costs, and supporting business growth through financial reporting and analysis. This role works closely with management to track project profitability, manage budgets, oversee payroll, and ensure compliance with tax and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate has experience in construction, landscaping, or contractor accounting and can provide valuable financial insights to improve business performance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Track job costs, labor expenses, materials, and equipment costs for landscaping projects. Monitor project budgets and profitability. Process payroll and maintain employee records. Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial transactions. Prepare and file sales tax and other required tax reports. Assist with annual tax preparation and audits. Manage cash flow forecasting and budgeting. Generate financial reports and provide recommendations to management. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Maintain accurate records using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
BILINGUAL IN SPEAK SPANISH AND ENGLISH REQUIRED
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. CPA designation preferred but not required. Experience in landscaping, construction, or contractor accounting. Strong knowledge of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and tax regulations. Proficiency in QuickBooks, Microsoft Excel, and accounting software. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Effective communication and teamwork skills. High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour
