Compensation:
Competitive salary, highly dependent on expertise and experience Seeking a detail-oriented and organized and proactive Construction Accounting Manager/ Senior Bookkeeper to support the financial operations of residential and commercial construction projects, who can manage and be responsible for all Accounting Functions. The ideal candidate brings strong construction accounting expertise, a high level of accuracy and the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. Position is responsible for job cost tracking, accounts payable and receivables, as well as maintain accurate financial records using Quickbooks Online, Excel.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform full-cycle construction accounting, including job costing in Quickbooks. Support Cash Flow management and financial planning. Record and reconcile intercompany transactions. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Process accounts payable and support receivable functions. Perform balance sheet reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy. Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations. Prepare and maintain SubContrator's 1099 information along with their contracts, insurance and W-9 documentation. Work closely with management and Construction personnel to identify cost overruns, accounting discrepancies and unusual expenses. Understand construction-related accounting practices and terminology.
Payroll & Administrative Accounting:
Coordinate payroll process and maintain payroll records for employees. Day to Day record keeping for growing construction company Assist with Use Tax, Payroll Tax and other required filings as applicable. Work with outside CPA for all monthly and annual reporting. Knowledgeable with tracking and billing in Jobber and BuilderTrend.
Required Qualifications:
Accounting Experience in construction industry, REQUIRED Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Strong proficiency with Quickbooks Online High attention to detail and strong organizational skills Experience with Accounts Payables and billing processes Journal entries and reconciliation processes Multi-project construction environment Experience automation or AI-driven tools to streamline accounting processes
