Job Description

Overview Wholesale Septic Supply is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our accounting team. This position will support the Controller and play an important role in maintaining accurate financial records, completing the monthly closing process, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and managing the company's accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a growing, fast-paced wholesale and e-commerce environment. Responsibilities Manage the day-to-day accounts payable and accounts receivable functions. Maintain accurate customer and vendor account records. Prepare and post journal entries and adjusting journal entries. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes. Prepare and maintain general ledger account reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules. Complete bank and credit card reconciliations. Review general ledger activity and research discrepancies or unusual transactions. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements and management reports. Assist with cash-flow reporting and financial analysis. Assist with annual budgeting and periodic forecasting. Support external accountants, auditors, lenders, and other financial partners by preparing requested documentation. Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes. Maintain organized and complete accounting records. Protect confidential financial, employee, customer, and company information. Perform special projects and other accounting duties as assigned by ownership and management. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Minimum of two years of professional accounting experience. Demonstrated ability in technical accounting tasks including journal entries, account analysis, account reconciliation, and balance sheet management. Effective communication skills for customer service-oriented interactions and team collaboration; ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
