Duties & Responsibilities:

AXion Accountant will: Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, general ledger, monthly closings and issuance of financial statements Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness Manage general ledger accounting functions Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested Work with external and internal customers on any day-to-day issues Assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities Work with external auditors to ensure correct and timely closing and reporting at year-end Assess current practices and procedures, and make recommendations for improvements

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will possess: Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred, Associates required 5 years of hands on experience is a must Experience with Accounting for Leases, Accrual Accounting and Depreciation Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Knowledge of Sage Intacct Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Experience with other financial systems
