Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Position Summary Express Employment Professionals are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to support our construction operations. This role is responsible for managing financial aspects of multiple projects, including job costing, billing processes, and compliance with contract documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong construction accounting experience and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Perform detailed job costing including labor, materials, and subcontractor expenses Prepare and manage progress billings (AIA) and track retainage Enter, process, and track change orders Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions Manage and collect unconditional lien waivers Generate job cost reports and assist with project forecasting Support cash flow tracking , payroll allocation, and project closeouts Ensure compliance with contracts, financial documentation, and company policies Required Qualifications 3+ years of construction accounting experience Proven experience in accounting roles with strong understanding of financial principles Hands-on experience with: Progress billings and AIA billing Change order entry Unconditional lien waivers Job costing and reporting Proficiency in Sage 300 or Trimble Spectrum accounting software (preferred) Advanced Excel and accounting software skills Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven, fast-paced environment While working as an Express Associate, you can become eligible for a variety of benefits, including: Weekly Pay Direct Deposit Holiday Pay (6 Days Observed) Medical Plan Referral Bonuses Associates may be required to work a specified number of hours and/or weeks before they become eligible for some benefits.
