The Accountant/Comptroller will ensure quality of financial transactions and reporting, develop our financial well-being and play a leading role in financial decision-making. He/She will provide senior management with strategic financial input and oversee the overall accounting process. Ensure accuracy in all our financial activities. Also, manage accounting activities with the aim of visibly reducing cost. Confident, analytical and positive, driven, flexible and have strong people skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and forecast budgets
  • Determine effects of potential business decisions on financial policy
  • Ensuring prompt and accurate month-end and year-end close processes
  • Preparing timely financial statements
  • Overseeing accounting operations such as accounts payable, accounts receivable and general ledger entries, fixed assets, GL, payroll, and loans
  • Ensuring compliance with company and statutory requirements
  • Aid in the financial decision-making process, compile information, correct discrepancies and report company's financial position
  • Close books and prepare financial reports for month and year end
  • Payroll and payroll quarterly reports
  • Participate in the financial strategic planning, prepare budget and forecasts, handle capital equities accounts, review and reconcile client budgets per project
  • Develop and follow internal control systems, recommend areas for improvement both financial and operational, use how-to improve profits and reduce costs.
  • Client's billing and statements, contracts and cost/profit analysis per project and/or client
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Employee performance evaluations
  • Implement effective HR policies to ensure all practices are in compliance with labor and employment regulations.
REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 5+ years work experience in Accounting and Business Administration
  • Proficient with QuickBooks, Microsoft Office Word, Excel and outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. English and Spanish
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ethical, thorough, organizational and motivational skills
  • Well organized, logical thinking, decision-maker with an analytical, detailed approach to research and problem solving
