Description Senior Accountant - Full-Time Engagement Professionals Robert Half is seeking experienced Senior Accountants to join our Full-Time Engagement Professionals practice in the Fort Worth area. This is a unique opportunity for accounting professionals who enjoy variety, solving problems, and making an immediate impact while still having the stability of full-time employment. What is a Full-Time Engagement Professional? Full-Time Engagement Professionals are permanent Robert Half employees who work with our clients on accounting and finance projects, interim needs, and special initiatives. You work with one client at a time and bring your expertise to organizations that need additional support, continuity, or specialized accounting knowledge. Projects may include supporting companies during unexpected vacancies or leaves, month-end and year-end close, audit preparation, reconciliations, process improvement, system implementations, backlog cleanup, and other accounting initiatives. What You'll Do As a Senior Accountant, responsibilities will vary by engagement and may include:
- Month-end and year-end close
- General ledger accounting and journal entries
- Balance sheet and bank reconciliations
- Financial statement preparation and analysis
- Fixed assets and depreciation
- Accruals and account analysis
- Audit preparation and support
- Process documentation and improvement
- ERP or accounting system implementations and conversions
- Cleanup and special accounting projects
- Supporting Controllers and accounting leadership during periods of transition or increased workload Requirements What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong general ledger and month-end close experience
- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working with ERP or accounting systems
- Ability to quickly learn new environments, systems, and processes
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working independently and becoming productive quickly CPA or CPA-track candidates are encouraged to apply.
