Job Description

The Accountant CPA will play a critical role in managing and maintaining the company's financial health through accurate reporting, budgeting, and reconciliation. This position demands a detail-oriented professional skilled in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, with solid knowledge of GAAP standards. The role focuses on internal financial processes without involvement in external audits or travel requirements. Responsibilities Prepares, reviews, and interprets data for inclusion in financial reports, statements, and summaries. Reviews financial data for accuracy; identifies problems and supports day-to-day operations. Analyzes and maintains all accounts receivable accounts, refund accounts, and deposit accounts. Manage month-end closing; prepare journal entries Monthly financial statements, including consolidation of multiple entities Balance sheet reconciliations Produce accurate and timely monthly financial statements Reconcile and explain variances to monthly revenue projections by each branch Prepare monthly commission reports Fixed Assets and capital expenditure tracking Weekly cash flow reporting; reviewing daily bank reconciliations Oversee the annual insurance audits Prepare minority business applications Special projects to include business acquisitions Daily cash management and reconciliation Strong in AR collections Monitor AR and file liens as appropriate Required Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with three+ year's experience in medium businesses or accounting firms, with a strong background in AR/AP, financial and management reporting, and consolidations of multiple entities. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification Strong knowledge of GAAP Proficient in financial reporting and account reconciliation Experience with accounts payable and receivable Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Proficiency in QuickBooks Strong attention to detail Effective communication skills Problem-solving abilities Good interpersonal skills are required to operate in and maintain a team environment. Ability to solve problems with or without oral or written instructions A high level of confidentiality and integrity is a must Dependable, punctual, helpful, detail-oriented Outstanding communication skills and proper etiquette (written, phone, in-person) Excellent organizational and time management skills Drug screen and background check required Tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
