As the company continues to grow, ACS is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support financial operations and ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across all accounting processes. Position Summary The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting operational efficiency, and helping scale financial processes as the business grows. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and experienced with accounting systems such as Bill.com, with a strong understanding of AP workflows and financial controls. Key Responsibilities Manage accounts payable (AP), including invoice processing, approvals, and payment tracking through systems such as Bill.com. Ensure accurate entry of invoices and proper coding to general ledger accounts. Coordinate payment releases and update invoice status, including marking payments as completed following Positive Pay verification. Handle accounts receivable (AR), including invoicing, collections, and payment application. Perform bank and credit card reconciliations on a regular basis. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations. Maintain accurate and organized financial records and documentation. Support financial reporting, including preparation of profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow tracking. Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure alignment between financial and project data. Assist with audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements. Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 3-6+ years of accounting experience, preferably within a fast-paced or growing organization. Hands-on experience with AP/AR and general ledger accounting. Experience using accounting platforms such as Bill.com, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems. Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. High attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and data analysis. Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction, HVAC, manufacturing, or other project-based environments. Familiarity with Positive Pay processes and payment control procedures. Experience working within a scaling organization or multi-entity business structure. What Success Looks Like Accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
