JOB Salary:
$56,579.53/annual minimum - $67,356.58/annual midpoint (Depending on qualifications) Prepare and reconcile the City's various bank accounts; process monthly journal entries; data entry; administer Accounting's record retention tasks; perform daily import files into the accounting system; and provide general support for the Finance division. SUPERVISION
General supervision is provided by the Manager of Accounting Services.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
All behaviors comply with the Code of Conduct & Rules of Behavior outlined in Chapter 8 of the General Government Policies and Procedures Manual. Adheres to assigned work schedule as outlined in city and department attendance policies and procedures. Prepare and reconcile monthly the City's master, accounts payable, payroll, and special revenue bank accounts. Import files from various resources into the accounting software system. Process and bill monthly fuel and general work orders. Process journal entries as assigned. Review and approve employee expense claims to ensure they are in accordance with City travel and purchasing policies. Process data entry files from the golf course point of sale system into the accounting system. Reconcile the pooled cash accounts. Assist in the preparation of the 1099s. Prepare the monthly Hotel distribution payments. Maintain the City's electricity accounts with the vendor. Assist with the year-end audit schedules.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up and maintain organized computer files. Audit and maintain files and records, prepare periodic reports and distribute to designated departments and divisions; photocopy, mail or fax materials as necessary. Provide support to assist designated division staff in the completion of their duties and responsibilities. Assist audit staff as necessary. Perform other duties as assigned.
