Our 2027 Accounting Internship gives you the opportunity to explore the business side of hospitality and learn how hotel accounting supports financial performance across a portfolio. You'll work alongside experienced Accounting professionals, gain exposure to real hotel financials, and begin developing the accounting and analytical skills that help drive accurate reporting and informed business decisions. Our internship begins in June and is based at our Corporate Offices in Irving, TX. Responsibilities Learn how the Accounting team functions at Highgate.

Provide support to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

Assist with reviewing purchase orders for accurate GL coding.

Support monthly financial reporting, journal entries, and P&L reviews.

Assist with various accounting projects and initiatives.

Multitask and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines.

Maintain confidentiality of company and financial information. Qualifications Enrolled in a Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Hospitality Finance (in progress) or a similar degree.

Minimum Junior status.

Knowledge of accounting and/or finance principles.

Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables and reports) and PowerPoint skills.

Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Must be organized with the ability to work accurately in a time efficient manner.

Demonstrated communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Ability to participate in a summer internship program of 10 weeks (June to August).

Must reside in Dallas, TX during the internship and work onsite in Irving, TX.

Salary - $20/hour for 40-hour week, with a duration of 10 weeks.
