Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant with strong experience in general accounting and purchasing, with the ability to independently manage day-to-day accounting and purchasing operations. The ideal candidate is bilingual (English/Spanish), organized, punctual, proactive, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously and take initiative. Key Responsibilities Manage general accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records. Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processes. Process and maintain payroll records and related accounting entries. Prepare and record journal entries and accounting transactions. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Manage purchasing activities, including obtaining quotes, placing purchase orders, and coordinating with vendors. Monitor purchase orders, invoices, and vendor documentation. Follow up with vendors regarding orders, pricing, delivery schedules, and discrepancies. Maintain accurate purchasing and vendor records. Coordinate purchasing activities with the accounting department to ensure invoices and payments are properly recorded. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Review financial information and transactions for accuracy and completeness. Identify discrepancies or areas for improvement and take initiative to resolve issues. Maintain organized and up-to-date accounting and purchasing records. Meet deadlines consistently and ensure all assigned responsibilities are completed accurately and on time. Qualifications & Requirements Senior-level accounting experience with strong knowledge of general accounting principles. Proven experience with AR, AP, payroll, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and purchasing. Hands-on experience with QuickBooks (QB) is required. Experience managing vendors, purchase orders, invoices, and purchasing processes. Bilingual in English and Spanish, with strong written and verbal communication skills in English. Highly organized, detail-oriented, punctual, and dependable. Proactive and takes initiative without requiring constant supervision. Ability to work autonomously and prioritize multiple responsibilities. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Professional attitude with excellent follow-through. Schedule Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM •Ideal Candidate• The ideal candidate is a reliable and experienced Senior Accountant who can take ownership of accounting and purchasing functions, work independently, anticipate needs, communicate effectively with vendors and management, solve problems proactively, and ensure that all accounting and purchasing processes are completed accurately and on time.
