Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong technical accounting skills, and possess a passion for accuracy and integrity. As a staff accountant, you will assist clients in bookkeeping tasks such as maintaining general ledger, payroll and reporting, and tax return preparation. Responsibilities Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and balance sheet schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data. Manage accounts payable and receivable processes using financial software such as QuickBooks, QBO, or similar systems. Support month-end and year-end closing activities, including ledger maintenance and financial statement preparation. Conduct detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or anomalies and resolve issues promptly. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information while handling data entry, bookkeeping, and other accounting tasks efficiently. Skills Strong understanding of GAAP standards. Proficiency with various accounting software such as QBO and UltraTax is preferred. Experience with technical accounting concepts including journal entries, account reconciliation, double-entry bookkeeping, and balance sheet analysis. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite with a focus on Excel data analysis and spreadsheet management. Knowledge of payroll systems and reporting. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while demonstrating strong customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors.
