Job DescriptionJob Description SUMMARY:
Oversees accounting and reporting, general ledger reconciliation, and accounting policy development; computes and prepares data for journal entries, general ledger, and related financial statements; oversees all accounting functions. Provides support to the payroll process and performs payroll processing functions, including new hire onboarding and human resources employee master file maintenance.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Accounting- Oversees and/or leads preparation of general ledger journal entries, fixed asset tracking, monthly balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliation.
- Oversees payroll-related functions including but not limited to processing new hires, termination status changes, tax changes, wage garnishments, deductions, and direct deposit.
- Administers human resources activities including but not limited to employee hiring practices and benefit plans.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (B.A./B.S.) in accounting or finance or equivalent. Three to five years related experience or equivalent. Demonstrated proficiency in leading and motivating subordinates Basic competence in subordinates' duties and tasks Ability to work with all levels of management Acute attention to detail Demonstrated ability to plan and organize projects Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook. Proficient in Dynamics GP accounting software or other similar programs. Ability to prepare reports and business correspondence. Working knowledge of data collection, data analysis, and evaluation. Very strong accounting skills. Demonstrated ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages. Commitment to excellence and high standards. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills; able to manage priorities and workflow. Ability to work independently and as a member of various teams and committees. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.COMPETENCIES
