Senior Cost Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Cost Accountant to join our team in North Dallas, Texas. This role involves managing cost accounting processes in a manufacturing environment, ensuring compliance with standards, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in cost analysis and demonstrate advanced skills in inventory methods and financial systems.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee cost accounting operations, including analysis and reporting, within a manufacturing environment.
• Conduct detailed cost analyses to support business decisions and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Collaborate with teams to maintain compliance with government and defense contractor regulations.
• Utilize standard costing techniques to manage and evaluate inventory methods.
• Assist in the preparation and execution of audits, ensuring all compliance requirements are met.
• Leverage financial systems such as Deltek, Oracle, or Costpoint to streamline accounting processes.
• Develop and maintain advanced Excel models to support cost accounting and financial analysis.
• Monitor and improve processes related to cost control and inventory valuation.
• Provide insights and recommendations for cost optimization and efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align financial goals with operational strategies.
