We bring design, manufacturing, and advanced services together to deliver power reliability, scalability, and speed. Job Description The Staff Accountant will support the general accounting function for Mission Critical Group and its operating companies by performing day-to-day accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close tasks. Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records, support reporting and audit activities, and contribute to a strong internal control environment.
Accountabilities:
Prepare and post journal entries and support timely completion of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close. Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and intercompany) and research and resolve discrepancies. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP. Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are recorded accurately and in the correct period. Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes as needed, including related reconciliations. Assist with fixed asset tracking, depreciation schedules, and prepaid and accrual maintenance. Prepare audit schedules and support internal and external audit requests. Help document and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. Assist with budget and forecast data gathering and variance analysis as requested. Identify and recommend opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of accounting processes.

Required Knowledge/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 1-3 years of general accounting experience; public accounting or industry experience a plus. Working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting. Experience with ERP/accounting systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics) preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and lookups. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines, particularly during close cycles. Good written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented approach.
