Job Description
Overview Join our as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). In this role, you will leverage your expertise in accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial analysis to ensure accurate reporting, compliance, and strategic financial planning. Your energetic approach will drive the preparation of financial statements, support audit processes, and assist with complex transactions. Responsibilities Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards. Conduct detailed account reconciliations, balance sheet reviews, and general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy and completeness. Manage tax accounting processes, including compliance with tax laws, estate planning considerations, and the preparation of tax returns. Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and conducting audit procedures. Oversee accounts payable processes, payroll administration, and expense tracking using accounting software such as Avatar or similar platforms. Assist with financial report writing and interpretation to inform strategic decision-making related to investments, mergers & acquisitions, or asset management. Collaborate on regulatory reporting requirements while maintaining meticulous records our corporate entities. Conduct analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for process improvements or cost savings. Requirements Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required with proven experience in public accounting or corporate finance. Strong knowledge of GAAP standards, tax laws including estate planning and securities law, and regulatory compliance frameworks like SOX. Demonstrated expertise in financial concepts such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, asset management, and budget development. Proficiency with accounting software including Avatar or similar tools; experience with financial software for reconciliation and reporting is essential. Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex financial reports and perform detailed account reconciliation. Experience in auditing procedures, financial statement preparation, and regulatory reporting requirements. Familiarity with oil & gas accounting practices is a must; strong understanding of securities law or private equity is advantageous. Exceptional organizational skills combined with a keen attention to detail; ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently.
