New Braunfels / San Marcos, Texas (In-Person) Join a Growing Wealth Management Firm Where Tax Planning Makes a Difference Teamwork Financial Advisors is seeking an experienced and client-focused Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to join our growing team in the New Braunfels/San Marcos area. This is an excellent opportunity for a CPA who enjoys preparing tax returns while also providing proactive tax planning as part of a comprehensive financial planning team. Our firm works closely with individuals, retirees, business owners, and families to help them preserve and grow their wealth through coordinated financial, retirement, investment, estate, and tax planning. We are looking for someone who enjoys building lasting client relationships and making a meaningful impact beyond tax season. Responsibilities Prepare and review individual, business, trust, partnership, nonprofit, and fiduciary tax returns. Collaborate in the tax return process from client communication through final filing. Conduct year-round tax planning for individuals, families, retirees, and business owners. Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop proactive strategies to minimize tax liabilities. Prepare tax projections and multi-year planning analyses. Advise clients regarding Roth conversions, retirement distributions, capital gains strategies, charitable giving, business succession planning, and other tax-efficient strategies. Collaborate with financial advisors to integrate tax planning into comprehensive financial plans. Assist clients with IRS correspondence and tax-related inquiries. Stay current on changes in federal and state tax laws and communicate planning opportunities to clients. Participate in client educational seminars and financial workshops as a tax planning resource. Build trusted, long-term relationships through exceptional service and professional guidance. Qualifications Active Texas CPA license required. Bachelor's degree in accounting (Master's degree preferred). Five or more years of public accounting experience. Strong experience preparing individual, corporate, partnership, S-corporation, trust, and fiduciary tax returns. Thorough knowledge of federal and state tax laws. Experience with tax preparation software (UltraTax, CCH Axcess, Drake, Lacerte, ProConnect, or similar). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear, client-friendly manner. Experience working with high-net-worth individuals and closely held businesses is preferred. Preferred Qualifications Experience with retirement tax planning. Estate and trust taxation. Business entity planning and succession strategies. Multi-year tax projections. Financial planning or wealth management experience. Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), CFP®, or interest in obtaining additional financial planning credentials.
