Type:
full-time International, rapidly growing company in Southeast Houston is looking to add an experienced Senior Accountant to their team! The Senior Accountant will play a key role in the month-end close process, process improvement initiatives and audit coordination. The responsibilities will include the following: Lead and execute monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries Review and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data. Perform detailed Income Statement and Balance Sheet analysis and provide variance explanations. Oversee reconciliations between multiple systems and ensure accurate financial posting in NetSuite. Prepare and review financial statements to ensure compliance with internal policies and reporting deadlines. Coordinate with internal departments and external service providers to obtain required documentation and ensure compliance. Review and reconcile bank accounts; assist with cash forecasting and working capital analysis. Prepare and/or review Sales Tax filings and related compliance reporting. Lead preparation of audit schedules and serve as a primary liaison with external auditors. Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist with implementation of best practices. Must have a bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance and a minimum of 5 years' progressive accounting experience. Proven experience working with ERP systems, a strong knowledge of US GAAP and demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
