This is an excellent opportunity for a professional to join our team and advance within the firm based on performance and technical knowledge. The role of the Associate in our Accounting Department is to manage a variety of accounting-related functions for about 20-30 small to medium-sized businesses.
These functions include:
General ledger maintenance and account reconciliations, Chart of Account set-up, transaction coding, and client guidance, Financial statement preparation and analysis, Payroll calculation and processing, Preparation and filing of quarterly and annual payroll tax returns. Our ideal candidate will have the following attributes: A bachelors degree in accounting, 3-5 years of experience, Strong written and verbal communication skills, Time management skills, The ability to be a team player. The hours for this full-time position are 8-hour days throughout the year with the exception of January to March. During our busy season, additional hours are needed to meet our clients' needs. We allow a flexible work schedule beyond the traditional business hours. We make a point to recognize the efforts of our staff during the busy season by awarding additional compensation. During the summer, and through the month of December, we close our office on Friday afternoons as another benefit for our staff.
