WHERE ACCOUNTING MEETS THE FACTORY FLOOR.A
growing manufacturing company in San Marcos is looking for a Cost Accountant to join its accounting team and help leadership understand exactly where money is being spent throughout the production process.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys numbers, analysis, inventory, and problem-solving and wants a role that goes beyond traditional transactional accounting. You'll work closely with Finance, Operations, Purchasing, and Production to understand costs and identify opportunities to improve profitability.

YOUR MISSIONAnalyze manufacturing costs and production expensesMaintain standard and actual cost informationAssist with inventory accounting and valuationAnalyze material, labor, and overhead costsInvestigate production variancesPrepare monthly cost reportsPerform inventory reconciliationsAssist with month-end closeReview manufacturing transactions for accuracyAnalyze cost trends and identify unusual activityAssist with budgeting and forecasting related to production costsPartner with Operations to understand cost fluctuationsSupport annual physical inventory processesAssist with financial reporting and management analysisMaintain accurate cost accounting recordsRecommend process improvements when opportunities are identified
