Controller About Us Genesis Medical Group is a growing healthcare organization dedicated to delivering high-quality service across our affiliated entities. Our Finance and Accounting department keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes, and we're looking for a detail-oriented team member to join us. About the Role We're seeking an Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team in Springwoods, TX. Reporting to the Controller, this role supports the accounting and finance functions across Genesis Medical Group and its affiliated entities, including maintaining the balance sheet and P&L to prepare monthly financial statements. Key Responsibilities Electronically reconcile bank and credit card accounts. Review & verify balance sheet and income statement accounts. Record journal entries to update accounts as needed. Assist in preparation of monthly financial statements for multiple entities. Work primarily in Sage, and occasionally in Quickbooks Online to perform accounting for the main medical practices and multiple other entities. Assist in intercompany reconciliations of multiple entities. Assist with Fixed Asset & Depreciation accounting. Assist with Prepaids and Accruals. Maintain complete & accurate workpapers supporting your work. Work with the accounting team to improve processes and decrease time needed to complete month end close. Support the Controller with special projects and other accounting tasks as needed.

Qualifications Required:

Bachelor's degree (accounting concentration is strongly preferred, but not required) 5 years experience working in accounting Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Good communication skills, both written and verbal

Preferred:

Experience with Sage Intacct and QuickBooks Online Some public accounting experience would be helpful, but not required Experience working with multiple companies and performing intercompany accounting / reconciliations would be helpful, but not required.
