Job Description

Cost Accountant Salary:
$80k – $100k Base with Bonus Why This Opportunity Stands Out Be the costing quarterback between Operations, Sales, and Finance. Direct visibility into product and customer profitability that drives pricing strategy. High-impact role supporting cost reduction and margin improvement initiatives. Work closely with a collaborative leadership team (Senior Financial Analyst + VP of Finance). Opportunity to influence processes, systems, and production standards. Cost Accountant Key Responsibilities Operational Costing & Month-End Lead and coordinate monthly inventory counts with warehouse and production teams. Close and validate production jobs to ensure accurate cost reporting. Maintain and audit Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Routers across finished goods. New Item Costing & Quoting Partner with Sales and Technical teams to estimate production costs for new products. Prepare accurate and timely cost quotations for customer projects. Ensure all quotes reflect current cost assumptions and production standards. Profitability Analysis & Reporting Collaborate with the Senior Financial Analyst and VP of Finance to develop: Customer profitability reporting Product margin analysis Provide insights to drive pricing decisions, margin improvement, and cost control. Continuous Improvement & Special Projects Support cost-reduction initiatives across production and supply chain. Assist with annual production standard updates. Participate in customer profitability reviews and ad-hoc financial analysis. Cost Accountant Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 2+ years of manufacturing or cost accounting experience (preferred).
