JUNIOR PROJECT ACCOUNTANT

Brycon is hiring a motivated, detailed, and safety-orientated Junior Accountant to work with our Corporate Headquarters team in Rio Rancho, NM. Primary Responsibilities Prepare and record general ledger entries. Maintain records for monthly sales and use tax reporting. Maintain monthly lease schedules. Maintain fixed assets accounting systems, including adding new assets and/or disposing of old assets. Prepare customer/client billings as needed. Analyze and maintain monthly general ledger reconciliations, including identifying issues and processing corrections. Prepare monthly/quarterly allocation of overhead costs. Maintain paperless invoice routing and approval system. Prepare or assist in preparing various monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports. Research, interpret, and apply generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to accurately maintain accounting records and prepare monthly financial statements. Assist in streamlining internal and business reporting processes. Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and adherence to internal controls. Support the Finance and Accounting team with other activities, projects, and analyses as needed. Skills and Experience Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products - especially Excel. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, manage time, work efficiently, and meet deadlines. High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality. Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills. Knowledge of computer, spreadsheet, and financial systems, programs, and applications. Excellent ability to analyze financial data, identify inconsistencies, and propose solutions to identified problems. This is a safety-sensitive position; the candidate must complete and pass a background check and a ten-panel drug/alcohol screening.
