Job Description:
Senior Accountant Position Summar yWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting by leading general ledger activities, performing complex reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process The Senior Accountant will take ownership of key balance sheet accounts, assist in process improvements, and serve as a resource to other team members. This position requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-entity environmen t. Key Responsibilit iesPrepare, review, and post journal entries with a high degree of accur acyOwn and complete monthly general ledger account reconciliations, including complex and high-risk accou ntsPerform and review balance sheet and bank reconciliations; investigate and resolve discrepancies promp tlyLead and support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely report ingMaintain accurate, well-organized, and audit-ready financial reco rdsAssist in the preparation of financial statements, internal reports, and supporting schedu lesPartner with the Controller on variance analysis and financial insig htsSupport internal and external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentat ionIdentify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and strengthen internal contr olsProvide guidance and support to junior accounting staff as nee ded Work Environ mentReports directly to the Contro llerCollaborative, team-oriented accounting environment supporting multi-location operat ions Required Skills & Qualifica tionsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum of four (4) years of progressive accounting exper ienceStrong experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end closeThorough understanding of accounting principles and financial repo rtingAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting or ERP sy stemsStrong analytical and problem-solving abil itiesHigh attention to detail and acc uracyExcellent organizational and time management s killsEffective written and verbal communication s killsAbility to work independently and collaboratively across teamsCPA pref erred
