Waco manufacturing facility is seeking an experienced Cost Accountant to support the financial management of their production floor. This position will analyze production costs, inventory, variances, and profitability while providing financial information to help management improve efficiency and control costs.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, maintain, and analyze costs for finished goods and work-in-process inventory. Analyze production variances, including material usage, aluminum scrap, labor efficiency, and overhead. Manage and reconcile raw material, WIP, and finished goods inventory valuations. Assist with monthly financials, journal entries, reconciliations, and COGS reporting. Assist with annual budgets and periodic forecasts for materials, labor, and overhead. Work closely with Plant Operations to identify cost drivers, waste reducers to improve efficiencies. Prepare product profitability, customer margin, and gross profit reports. Maintain the integrity of cost information in the ERP system, routings, and material records.

Qualifications:

Accounting or Finance degree preferred. Cost accounting or manufacturing accounting experience strongly preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with ERP systems; SAP experience is a plus. Apply Today with Total Placement Staffing
