This position is ideal for an accounting professional who enjoys a mix of accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll support, budgeting assistance, and special project work. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the organization's day-to-day accounting operations. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable transactions, including receiving, reviewing, verifying, and processing vendor invoices for payment. Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies, vendor statement variances, and payment-related issues. Perform account reconciliations by comparing financial records with bank statements and other supporting documentation to identify and correct discrepancies. Assist with the development and monitoring of budgets and financial forecasts. Support various payroll-related tasks and ensure accurate processing and documentation. Compile and maintain credit card documentation and related financial records. Prepare and report accounts payable activity for inclusion in public agendas and financial reporting. Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards. Participate in and complete special projects and additional accounting duties as assigned.
Qualifications Required:
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field. Experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, accounting, or related financial functions. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Experience with accounting software and ERP systems. Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and payroll processes.
