Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team in American Fork, Utah. This Contract to permanent position is ideal for an individual with strong accounting skills who thrives in a collaborative environment. The role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to financial operations and ensure accuracy in reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Manage the general ledger and ensure it is updated and reconciled regularly.
• Utilize QuickBooks and other accounting tools to track and report financial data.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions.
• Complete month-end close processes, including preparing financial statements.
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies in financial accounts.
• Apply advanced Excel formulas to streamline reporting and data analysis.
• Collaborate with team members to support audits and compliance requirements.
• Provide insights on improving financial processes and workflows.
• Ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies. Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or related roles.
• Proficiency in preparing journal entries and managing general ledger accounts.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, including formulas.
• Experience with performing bank reconciliations and month-end close processes.
• Ability to analyze financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with accounting principles and practices.
