Role:
We're seeking a Tax Accountant to support a range of tax engagements for individuals and closely held businesses, with a strong focus on S-Corporations and Partnerships. This role is hands-on, preparing and reviewing returns of varying complexity while assisting clients maintain accurate books and records in QuickBooks. You'll work directly with clients to gather information, manage timelines, and ensure high-quality, timely filings, with exposure to tax planning and compliance across multiple engagements. Key Responsibilities:
Prepare simple and complex tax returns, including but not limited to individual, partnership, S-Corp, and trust returns with minimal to no supervision. General accounting, bookkeeping, and cleaning client's books utilizing QuickBooks. Collaborate with leadership in coordinating large client engagements, identification of problems and providing solutions. Assist with tax planning, tax compliance, and onboarding of new clients while maintaining quality client relationships. Identify opportunities to attract new clients and market the company's services and products and facilitate expansion of business with existing clients.
Required Skills:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or relevant years of experience) Master's Degree in Accounting preferred Knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax codes and regulations 1 - 5 years of experience with individual, partnership, trust, and s-corp returns Excellent interpersonal skills in working with existing staff and clients A CPA license or CPA eligible (Preferred)
