  • Full-time We are looking for a Senior Accountant to assist in our growing business, either with our Cedar City office or our St George office.
This individual will be very hands-on with clients and internal staff. Candidates must be technically competent in general accounting principles, very computer savvy and proficient with QuickBooks accounting software (both Desktop and Online), and a whiz on Excel. The firm has a very family-like culture and we're looking for someone with experience that can jump right in and be part of the team. We are looking for someone who can manage client relationships and independently handle complicated accounting needs. Candidate needs to be hands on, and easily be able to adapt to clients needs and evolving roles. As a representative of the company, you will display professionalism in both your appearance and demeanor, and be willing to learn and execute on new tasks as they are assigned. You must be disciplined enough to work independently with minimal supervision. You will be expected to complete certain assigned tasks and objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Great attitude and easy to work with is a must for us. Attention to detail is a key factor in this role. You must be responsible and trustworthy, and be capable of passing a background check. Duties/Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Bookkeeping and accounting for multiples companies Supervision of accounting staff Produce accurate financial reports and be able to talk through the results with owners Payroll processing and understanding how payroll taxes work Ability to research discrepancies and identify and solve problems Sales tax filings Correspondence with clients, vendors, and others Job requirements: Attention to DETAIL is a MUST! 3 years minimum QuickBooks Desktop AND Online experience
REQUIRED
College degree in an accounting or finance field
STRONGLY PREFERRED CPA

Strong understanding of payroll processing, preferably with ADP systems Experience in Microsoft office in conjunction with expert Excel skills; Experience closing the books and reporting for a substantially sized business Strong administrative organization skills Hardworking, dependable, self-motivated, and responsible Great communication and social skills are a must! Occasional travel, sometimes out of state, will be required The company offers a casual and friendly atmosphere, but you are expected to be professional, both in communications and in appearance. Compensation based on experience.
