The Department of Accounting and Finance in the Dixie L. Leavitt School of Business at Southern Utah University seeks applicants for an Assistant or Associate Professor of Accounting - Tenure Track. This is a permanent, full-time nine-month tenure-track position to begin on August 16, 2027. Rank will be dependent upon qualifications and experience. Salary and benefits are competitive and are also commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are looking for applicants with a Ph.D. in Accounting, who will provide excellent teaching and student mentoring, while maintaining scholarly engagement requirements per AACSB standards. Teaching duties may be varied but will likely include courses in Ethics, Advanced Cost, Accounting Data Analytics, or Managerial Accounting. Other accounting courses may be assigned depending on experience and departmental needs. The anticipated teaching load for an academic year is generally 3/3 or 3/4, depending on faculty qualifications. Summer courses may be available to teach for additional compensation. Perform other responsibilities as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Ph.D. in Accounting. ABD candidates may be considered. Applicants must meet the Leavitt School of Business faculty qualification standards for the appropriate AACSB classification. Applicants with a PhD degree must meet the academic and professional requirements to be qualified in the Scholarly Academic (SA) category or the professional requirements to be qualified in the Practice Academic (PA) category.
