Staff Accountant

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in South Jordan, Utah. This is a long-term contract position where you will play a crucial role in managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, and supporting financial reporting processes. Responsibilities:

• Perform month-end closings, including journal entries, analytical reviews, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain and reconcile weekly and monthly bank accounts, updating cash books as needed.
• Collaborate with the finance team to prepare accurate cash flow forecasts and manage payment consolidations.
• Process and record daily banking transactions, ensuring they align with corporate systems.
• Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Support the preparation and filing of country tax returns, ensuring all payments meet deadlines.
• Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with timelines.
• Review and process expense claims while adhering to company policies and recording relevant transactions.
• Keep lease schedules updated in compliance with applicable standards and policies.
• Provide support for accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
• A minimum of three years of relevant accounting experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and technical accounting skills are essential.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
• Experience with accounting software such as Sage, SAP, or Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable.
• Strong Problem solver
• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
