Job Description

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionWe are partnering with a growing HVAC organization seeking a hands-on Accountant to support a critical accounting cleanup and financial reporting initiative. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, reconciling accounts, cleaning up financials, and helping bring accounting operations current. This position will play a key role in catching up monthly financial statements, completing reconciliations, supporting month-end close activities, and ensuring accurate financial reporting moving forward. This will be a 3-4 month contract and is looking to move quickly. Key Responsibilities
  • Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and general ledger activity
  • Prepare and post journal entries and account adjustments
  • Assist with month-end close and financial statement preparation
  • Review historical accounting activity and help bring monthly financials current
  • Support the completion of year-end accounting activities and ongoing monthly reporting
  • Perform general ledger coding and transaction review
  • Analyze discrepancies and research accounting variances
  • Partner with leadership to improve financial accuracy and reporting processes
  • Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation Qualifications
  • 3+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong reconciliation experience including bank reconciliations and account reconciliations
  • Experience supporting month-end close and financial statement preparation
  • Strong general ledger and journal entry experience
  • QuickBooks experience required
  • Intermediate Excel skills required
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining a team-oriented attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Pay Details:
