Job Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Accounting, the Staff Accountant assists with the activities of the general ledger area and performs moderate to complex accounting tasks. Work involves providing accounting shared services for G+D Mobile Security, G+D Currency Technology and G+D ePayments including participating in the monthly close process, preparing, posting and balancing financial statements, records, documents or reports in a multi-currency environment. Work under general supervision with latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience BA/BS in Accounting or Finance

At least 2 years of related work experience

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Knowledge Skills and Abilities Ability to manage multiple priorities to meet established time lines.

Must possess excellent computer skills and have the ability to work with multiple accounting software packages

Excel skills including working knowledge of pivot tables, Vlookups, formulas, etc.

Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and have the ability to interact with peers and senior management.

Essential Functions:

Examines accounting documents (i.e. vouchers, invoices, etc.) to verify accuracy of computations and uniform application of policies, procedures and acceptable accounting standards.

Prepares and posts various entries into the general ledger, including adjustments and closing entries.

Assists in the preparation of monthly financial reports in SAP and Tagetik.

Maintains fixed asset schedules and calculates depreciation.

Prepares various account reconciliations, schedules, exhibits and summaries to support the general ledger balances.

Works with foreign currency transactions including currency conversions and revaluations.

Develops other nonstandard analyses, reports or statements to include tables, charts and other exhibits.

Supports month-end and year-end closing processes

Participates in the preparation of consolidated

US GAAP & IFRS

financial statements.

Assists in the reconciliation of intercompany transactions with affiliates worldwide.

Participate in the interim and annual audits for the Company.

Provides support to all areas of the Accounting Department as needed.

Performs other analysis and special projects as assigned. The pay range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000 annually. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus target of 5%, subject to company performance.
