SaaS/Technology Industry - Northern Virginia Our client, a fast-growing mission-driven SaaS/Technology company in Northern Virginia, is hiring a Sr. Accountant to help support their corporate accounting and SOX/IPO-readiness initiatives as they continue to scale. This is a newly created role due to growth, will sit on a team of 7, and will be splitting time in supporting both SOX compliance/IPO readiness efforts, financial reporting and the corporate accounting functions - making it a high-impact opportunity with strong visibility and the chance to grow this function/team. Key Responsibilities:

Own a meaningful piece of the monthly close - journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analysis under

U.S. GAAP

Support preparation of quarterly and annual financial statements Help design, build, and document SOX-compliant internal controls alongside an external advisory partner Serve as a working liaison to external auditors through the year-end audit Contribute to public-company reporting readiness, including the mechanics behind 10-K and 10-Q preparation Push accounting policy, procedure, and system improvements as the company scales

Qualifications:
Required:

U.S. Citizenship Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Econ or related Active CPA license, or parts passed. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience; a blend of public accounting and corporate/industry accounting is strongly preferred Exposure to SOX compliance, PCAOB audit requirements, SEC reporting, or public-company controls Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth environment

Preferred:

Proficiency with NetSuite or Sage Intacct Experience in startup or entrepreneurial environments
